Elizabeth Crump Hanson

Dr. Hanson's publications have covered a wide range of subjects in international relations, including the foreign policy beliefs of American businessmen, national policies with respect to foreign direct investment, the role of conferences in international scientific communication, and the media and foreign policy in the U.S. and India.   Her current research focuses on the political economy of the Internet in India and, more broadly,  on the impact of new information and communication technologies on world politics.   She is currently chair of the international communication section of the International Studies Association and previously served as chair of the political communication sections of the American Political Science Association and the International Political Science Association.  She has also served as Vice-President of the International Studies Association.  She has been a Research Fellow at the Shorenstein Center for the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University; and she has received two Fulbright awards to India.
